Recruiting moves fast. So do we.
Welcome to makethehire.com—a no-BS resource for modern recruiters, HR pros, founders, and anyone else who wants to hire better, faster, and smarter (without losing their mind or their weekends).
I’m Kira Aiello—your host, guide, and sometimes recruiter therapist.
Why I Started makethehire.com
I never set out to become a recruiter, but after years running IT and support teams for recruiting firms, I saw just how much noise and confusion there is in our industry. Too many tools, not enough time. Endless “thought leadership” that feels out of touch. And let’s be honest: a lot of hiring advice online feels written by robots for robots.
I created makethehire.com to be the blog I wish existed when I started out—a place where you get real, actionable advice that fits today’s hiring landscape.
Here, you’ll find:
- Hands-on tool reviews and head-to-head comparisons (with the honest pros and cons)
- Step-by-step guides for everything from sourcing and outreach to onboarding and employer branding
- Fresh takes on recruiting tech: AI, automation, remote hiring, and more
- Templates, prompts, and cheat sheets—tested in real recruiting teams, not just made up for SEO
- No fluff. No jargon. Just the info you need, from someone who’s been in the weeds (and cleaned up more than one ATS disaster)
My Promise: Keep It Human
This isn’t a place for corporate doublespeak. Every post is written by a real person, with hands-on recruiting and tech experience—plus a healthy dose of humor and candor.
I test tools before I recommend them, ask tough questions, and won’t sell you magic beans.
